1. I worked the past 3 summers (June-July, 2004, 2005, 2006) at a tennis camp at Warren Township High School in Gurnee, IL. My main responsibilities were helping the kids learn the fundamentals of the game and strategy of tennis. I also helped create the practice plans for the day and made sure none of the kids got out of hand or got hurt. 2. A couple of summers ago I volunteered one day at the Special Olympics Illinois Northeastern area. There were a lot of volunteers there and our main duties included: making sure they were playing by the proper rules, helping them retrieve the balls and making sure everyone was having a good time and also making sure no one got injured.3. I am currently an intern at the Tranel Financial Group in Libertyville, IL. My technical title is that of a para-planner which basically means I do whatever the financial advisor and planners need me to do on a given day. My duties range from helping them set up the conference rooms for their meetings, sitting through meetings, and updating client information on the computer. I am also considering working another internship during the fall semester at school for more experience.4. I use the knowledge I gained from MGMT 310 and CSR 342 everyday at my internship. There was a stock market project we did in CSR 342 that I feel really helped me learn about the stock market and I can also give some input about the market at my internship. 5. My senior year of high school I received a $500 scholarship for having good grades through high school and also for playing sports. 6. I am good in group settings and giving new ideas to a group. I work a lot with other people at my internship and I think I am usually good for a couple of new ideas each meeting. Also financial planners have to meet with clients everyday so being able to talk confidently with them and I feel like I will be able to do that very well. 7. I took three years of Spanish in high school and two semesters in college but I am not fluent so I don't think I can have that good of a conversation with a native speaker.8 . I work a lot with Microsoft Word, Excel, and PowerPoint at my internship so I am pretty comfortable with all of them and can use them pretty efficiently. 9. Unless you would call a tennis racket equipment, no.
