This is an internship opportunity with a privately held medical device company in San Jose, California. An Intern would be working in a lab, Executing complex experiments which will be involving blood samples while following written protocols and safety procedures related to bio-hazardous materials. The Interns main focus would be on optimizing the reagent systems to quantify glucose. It will also give an Intern opportunity to meet all kinds of vendors to carry through parts and supplies.

I choose this intern as this is in the field of bio-technology which is a very upcoming field. It would help me for my graduate School as I am planning to major is in bio-technology. This will also give me a real hand experience to the industrial world. For the first time I shall have an Internship in another country (Unites States) which would give me a great exposure towards the corporate world of the country.

I think this job fits me perfectly and here are several reasons for that. From my present experience at RT chemicals, I have learnt many new techniques. Every day I work with new equipment. Hence I believe that I will satisfy the work experience requirements of this company. I have taken many chemistry classes which will satisfy the wet lab experience. Working in lab automatically gives you observational skills and working in a lab for two years I learnt all the basic bio chemical techniques. Since I have previously worked with many chemicals, hence most of them won’t be new. I wouldn’t have to waste time learning about them. With the lab experiences come good microscopic skills as well as the ability to handle human samples. I have performed blood test experiments also in the past. Living in the United States for over two years now, I have good communication skills in the American accent. Hence understanding others is not a problem. Since English is my first language, I am good at writing. This entirely covers the background experience that the company requires. Hence I feel I am qualified for it.
