Accounting Job
This is a full time position with Deloitte. You would be a member of the audit team. As a member of the audit team you would be involved in reviewing quarterly financial information, proper reporting including Sarbanes-Oxley, and other attest related services. Your main responsibilities are to gain an understanding of the tools and methods the company uses to perform and audit. Perform steps necessary to complete an audit, such as, perform analytical review of documents, and design control tests.
I choose this position because it directly relates with my major. I enjoyed my accounting and auditing class and I feel as though this would be a good starting opportunity. Deloitte is also a very respectable company. I also feel as though I am well qualified because I have analytical skills, communication skills and problem solving skills. I also can exhibit a professional, business-like demeanor, and establish relationships with others. I also am willing to travel, and can work both as an individual and team.
I also picked this job because it would give me a lot of learning and growth opportunities. It is important to me that I can continue to develop and gain new insights. They also require you to continue to develop your skills and mention the development of excellent communication skills as we are learning as part of this class. This points out just how important this class will be for our futures. I have met all of the requirements to be hired for this job once I graduate. It is also great that this company helps to get you to pass the CPA exam. The company is also rather large so it will allow me to go to different parts of the world and gain experiences that I may not be able to get from other companies.
