Also responsible for leading all proposed campaigns and activities associated with clients.

Educational Experience

4. Communication 114: A background in speech and public speaking. Important as a course as it develops oral communication skills when addressing an audience and incorporates basic speaking skills in general.

English 235- Introduction to Drama: This coursework has been given as an entryway to the genre of dramatic literature through a sampling of major works from distinct periods of Western literature. It has introduced us, as students, to fundamental concepts such as structure and theme, among others. Through this coursework, we are able to read and write critically about drama. This can be translated to being able to read, think, and write critically in other forms of communication forms, such as professional literature.

Skills

6. Teamwork Skills: As public relations chair for Beta Theta Pi, I am responsible for keeping with and upholding the good name of the organization. I must work with my committee in order to execute planned projects.

Oral Communication Skills: As PR director for the public relations student society of America, I am responsible for procuring a client to do pro bono public relations work for, as well as heading up client committee to execute work on behalf of client. Involves a great deal of organizational skills and communication skills; both between client and PRSSA and internally between the committee.

Interpersonal Skills: As a member of Beta Theta Pi, the actions of the brothers reflect on each other and the fraternity in general. Actions such as community service and philanthropy provided by the brothers for the community and for Purdue could not be executed without cooperation and teamwork. This provides a great deal of interaction, socialization and networking within the organization to accomplish.

Organizational Skills: In both PR positions, I must be organized in order to properly design and execute activities to represent the organizations

Flexibility: When designing and planning projects for my PR positions, we plan for the worst and hope for the best. Just because it is designed to go a certain way, there is always a chance something can go wrong. Being flexible and fixing problems on the spot while keeping a level head is important.
