Resume Extravaganza
This assignment was more challenging then I thought that it would be. I didn't expect to have so much trouble making judgments based on resumes. I thought it would be relatively easy and I thought 10 minutes would be plenty of time. I guess I was wrong. It was hard to draw a conclusion about whether the person would be good for a job in such a short period of time. I bet a lot of these people would be great at the job and i didn't pick them. I also think some of the people that I picked might not be the best person for the job. Another thing i found challenging was that no one was looking at the same job. Everyone had different objectives and therefore I couldn't really compare the credentials very well.
These are the people that I ended up with. 5, because this person had some really great skills that they added. I think they're ability to work laboratory equipment will help out in the career that they are seeking. 17, because they have a clear objective which makes me believe that they are passionate about the work they are going to be doing. 20, because they have been very active in different activities and have shown what they have learned from each of those activities. 28, the relevant skills and the experiences abroad really make this resume stand out for me. I think these make this person a step above everyone else. 32, because the had a very clear objective which game me a great idea of what they are looking to achieve in the job and because they tied in their past jobs with what they are looking to do.
