Resume Extravagenza
Upon completing the resume extravagenza, I have come up with five resumes which deserve a call back. The five resumes are 5,9,14,16 and 20. There were many factors that shaped my decision, but the first item that I looked for was something caught my eye. Each of these resumes had something that caught my attention and intrigued me to read on. As I read on, I found that each of these candidates, were sufficiently educated and set themselves apart from the rest by doing unique. By unique I mean an interesting internship, volunteer work or possibly an ambitious class load.
Besides choosing five resumes, the activity was also very interesting. Even though we are just doing this activity for practice, it had a lot of real world feel. This activity made me think just how hard it is to be in human resources and have to quickly scan resumes each and every day. Besides showing me how difficult human resources can be, this activity also opened my eyes to how important a good cover letter and well written resume can be. Now that I have completed this activity, I will now re-write my resume and create a unique cover letter for each job that I apply for.
