JetBlue Crisis

I found the following article to be very interesting concerning the JetBlue Crisis. The article can by found with the following link:

This article summarized what JetBlue and Levick Strategic Communications did in order to eradicate the crisis on February 14, 2007. The author of the article states that he agrees with their steps for crisis management but he also states where he disagrees or thinks JetBlue could have handled certain aspects better. I liked the article because it was from the perspective of an outsider that didn't deal personally with the JetBlue crisis but analyzed the manner in which JetBlue handled the situation. The author also mentions that other airlines have witnessed JetBlue's crisis and have taken their own actions to market their airline and ensure that their airline will not experience a crisis. I also liked the author's view of apologizing too much especially for things that you cannot completely control.

I think this will help me with the project because the author looked at the crisis differently than most people. I think it will be important to remember to be open-minded and approach situations from all angles before making a final decision. It will also be helpful because I will be able to view how others will see my project just like the author of this article critiqued the way JetBlue handled their crisis.
