I found the article very interesting. It tells us that some crises can’t be avoided; especially natural disasters and the brutal weather that keeps airplanes on the ground. But if you’re Jet Blue you might be calling it last Wednesday “Valentine’s Day Disaster at Kennedy Airport.” On Valentines Day ten jet blue planes filled with passengers were stuck on the JFK tarmac for up to 11 hours. The passengers were running out of food and drinks. They weren’t getting announcements regularly. The communication was really bad. The passengers had any idea what was the problem. The jet blue CEO David Neeleman, said that his team did a very poor job by communicating with the passengers. The passengers could see the terminal from the plane windows but no one was coming to get them. Finally after 11 hours the Port authorities were notified and shuttles came to get the passengers. The lesson Jet Blue has learnt from this experience when it comes to communicating in difficult circumstances, plan for the worst and hope for the best. I personally think communicating is a very big factor in life. Nearly everything is about communicating with on another, that’s how business and cooperation’s work. If there was no communication people and business would be at a downfall.
