CORRIGAN Work Blog Week 5

Initiating contact and establishing roles is sometimes the hardest part of group word. However, our group did a good job of getting started working on this project. We all quickly responded to initial emails. We first introduced ourselves and commented about how we were excited to work together on the project. My first response to my group was one of excitement. I was glad to see that everyone was checking their email regularly and responded to my email. Even when Patrick went to Chicago, we still heard back from him. The first order of business for our group was to create our Gantt Chart. I took the leadership role in creating this document, but everyone participated in its creation. I emailed everyone with my ideas of things that needed to be included in the Gantt Chart (aka: needed to be accomplished in the project). I asked them to select which parts they would like to be in charge of. I heard back from all of them with their selections and some comments on things to add. We made it clear that just because someone's name was next to an assignment, that didn't mean that they were the only person who was going to work on it. It simply meant that they were the main contact and in charge of coordinating the necessary work. I think this chart is going to be very beneficial so that we are all on the same page throughout the project.
