Sandquist Work Blog Week 6

This week our group worked on the initial design of the General Brochure and the Caring for Your Pet Brochure for the Clinton County Humane Society. I received the general brochure design from Daniel on Monday. I thought it was a pretty good design for a brochure dealing with pets. I then added sections about the history of the humane society, ways that people can help the humane society with different types of donations, and about the humane society's mission statement. These were pretty easy to write as much of the information was given by the humane society for what they wanted to see in a brochure. I also added a little more design elements, such as the paw prints and text boxes on the back for information on how to get to the CCHS and where you could find them on the internet.

I then sent a copy to my group members for discussion about what could be done better. We set up an online meeting time of 9 on Tuesday night to quickly discuss what was good and what could be revised in the brochures. I needed suggestions on how to name the different levels of monetary donations and we came up with friendly feline, caring canine, and top cat for a preliminary idea to use for the draft to see how the CCHS would like it. This may be revised. We submitted our group brochures Wednesday evening and are currently waiting on instructor feedback to make any changes to our brochures. Everything is running smoothly and I intend for it to remain that way for the rest of the project.
