This week my group worked on putting together and revising our brochure draft. My main priority was to gather and organize the information for the brochure along with Suchet. I went ahead and opened the documents and links for our project and found the information that was needed in the brochure, all in one Word document. I organized the information as I saw appropriate and talked to Rachel and Keeli about it as I sent it to them. They were taking the lead in coming up with the brochure design, which we decided would work best as a trifold. Soon afterwards, Rachel sent out the first draft of our brochure design, which included the information Suchet and I had gathered. With our first try, we were all a bit unfamiliar with publisher and ended up with a brochure that was folded in half rather than the trifold we first wanted. I took time to edit a few of the items in the brochure and we sent it back and forth a few times for everyone to look at. Sometime early Wednesday I began messing around with Publisher and figured out where the trifold design brochures were located. I quickly began trying unsuccessfully to copy the material from our brochure into the trifold design. After what seemed like days, I managed to find a pretty easy way to copy the information over into the new design. I then completed the trifold brochure and sent it out to my group members to gather their opinions. They all seemed pleased that we had managed to get a trifold and with a few more tweaks we submitted the brochure along with its grayscale version. Since Wednesday we have been reading and discussing what we may want to change as we wait for instructor comments.
