Individual Work Blog Week 6

This week I met online on Tuesday with Melissa Wood and Melissa Michels and we discussed the parameters of the assignment. Erik could not meet with us at that time because he works nights while the other group members have an internship in the morning and in the afternoon. In our meeting we planned out the contents of the brochure and the order of the information we were providing. We spent a while reading the website talking about the requirements for assignment and how were we going to split up the work. We came up with the "assembly line" idea, meaning that one of us started the brochure and when they felt that they completed enough work they would email it to the rest of the group and then someone else would start working on it. That Tuesday night it became really late and I was not working the next day so I told the rest of my group to email me the brochure so I could continue working on it on Wednesday. Unfortunately, the next day I could not get online until 4pm since I was out all day and by the time I checked my email I noticed that my group had already completed the brochure draft and had submitted it. I felt impotent since I could not contribute as much to the draft as I wanted to since I thought that we were going to submit the assignment later that night. I then sent an email to my group saying that I would be responsible for the revision since I want to contribute even further for this assignment. When I saw the completed brochure draft I really liked it but saw some things we can improve on (which I mentioned in the reading response earlier this week). I will start working on the draft this weekend and try to do as much as I can before Monday, the day which we have agreed to meet to start working on the next draft that is due on Tuesday.
