This week, our group continued to work well as a cohesive unit. I began the week by sending out an e-mail to the group on Saturday to decide on a meeting time for Monday to work on the second draft of our project. We decided to meet on Monday around 8:30pm because our entire group could meet at that time instead of having to split the work like at our last meeting. Again, we used an AOL chat room because the class chat provided does not work for most of our members.
Once we got together, great ideas had begun to flow. We knew that we needed to fix the words on the entire brochure and fix some misinformation. Marius had already tweaked the brochure a little bit in response to the comments the professor had left for us. Inevitably, the group decided that we needed to decrease the amount of words as a whole on the brochure. I made the 2nd panel on the 2nd page (volunteer position descriptions) much more concise by generalizing what each position took care of during the event. Erik and Melissa re-wrote the copy for the 1st panel of the 2nd page so that it made grammatical sense and was much more concise. Marius also figured out how to fix our check boxes; he simply changed the font. This week, Melissa submitted our 2nd brochure draft, and that concludes our work week.
