Work Blog Week 7

This week we received the feedback on our brochure from Ryan. Overall both our brochures did nicely but could definitely be edited to be more professional and geared toward the Clinton County Humane Society. Daniel did some editing on the general brochure's design. It took into account the color scheme and toned down the color so that it was more reader friendly. When I got the revised design on Monday afternoon, I looked at the reviewed brochure and made many changes to the content. First, I edited the directions to the CCHS on the back panel. Ryan suggested using bulleted points to make it easier if someone is driving. This was an easy but very thoughtful fix. I then went on the inside of the brochure and made some changes. I first changed the history section to be Who We Are so that I could incorporate more about what they do along with the stats about how many animals they saved in 2006. I then moved to the Mission Statement panel and fixed the line spacing so there would be more room on that panel for the new section called adoption fees. This section will help the reader learn about how much it costs to adopt a cat or dog and also the inclusions such as vaccinations or collars. I then added an intro paragraph to the how you can help section and fixed the spacing in the paragraphs. Overall it's a good brochure that I hope the Humane Society will really like.
