This has been a very interesting week for me. I left a week ago to spend a week in the Bahamas. This created some interesting things for my week. First, I had to work to get as much accomplished before I left as I could. This meant that I had to do my Reading Response before our second draft had been accomplished. I used out first draft instead. I think this is actually going to be beneficial because we can use my responses to see how our second draft was improved. Second, I did not think that I was going to be able to get my peer review of another group's brochure done. I really didn't think that I would be able to get to internet. Thankfully, the boat had internet connection, but only when the boat was close enough to a big port to connect. I had to convince the group that my homework assignment was more important then docking out at sea that night. They agreed to anchor near shore and I was able to complete my assignment. Looking critically at another group's work helped me out a lot. It game me some ideas of things that we should considers, but also gave me some ideas of things to avoid. I think my comments, along with everyone else's in my group helped their group a lot. I also liked reading what someone else had to say about our brochure as well. I know we are taking into consideration everything that they mentioned to make our brochure better.
