Week 12 progress report

turtle power! — Sun, 11/16/2008 - 15:12

I got sick this weekend, that's why this is late, but anyway, here's the progress we've made so far: we've set up the server in my apartment for testing purposes, but then we were informed to use the client's testing server. Once we got the FTP information, we set up the FTP, MSSQL database with tables and have started creating the framework for the backend. We have a secure login completed and have started the administrative portal, where depending on what type of account the user has, they will be able to do different things, such as upload files, post jobs or just view job postings.

Week 12 Status

For our first week on the project, we started by listing the tasks that needed to be accomplished by the server-side Backend Coding team. The specific goals David, Josh, and I came up with included a secure PayPal link that we can include on a donations page created by the Design team and a portal. The portal was further broken down into several sub-sections, including Job Applications, a Volunteer Management System, the Board of Directors log-in system, and essentially a Content Management System (CMS) for the entire site.
