My question to you -- Do you think that something like this is better as a news cast, similar to what sportscenter is, or do you think the conversational aspect is important because they don't show highlights?

Good podcast
lefty150 — Tue, 09/30/2008 - 20:28My opinion is that this podcast is fine without having highlights. They are talking more about sport news than just talking about the different plays and highlights that happened. The podcast does a good job with the discussion and the transitions between the different topics that they are talking about.
I believe this is a good
s5m32l3 — Wed, 10/01/2008 - 00:11I believe this is a good podcast. The structure of the podcast isn't boring and not scripted. Mike and Mike converse back and forth making news and sports highlights interesting. They make jokes about what has happened in the news and they keep the mood comical and relaxing. This would be a good podcast to listen to while in your car. I don't really see any use for it to be a TV show. Some things are funny that you see, but you get the the same out of it by just listening.
To answer your question, I think it is better as a conversational aspect. If it were like sportscenter, then it would just be like every other sports-highlight channel. Mike and Mike is intended to be a radio-cast, so they should keep it like that. Adding highlights in their show would make it more of a show instead of a radiocast. Even though they have a show, it is still intended for the audience to see them talking on the radio.
