Summary:

Each student will produce two works fitting genres covered in D.I.Y. Works should be original material produced specifically for this assignment. They will be submitted in their intended material formats, so students will develop their documents from concept to finished product.

Accompanying each work will be a short explication paper that demonstrates why it is effective by analyzing successful examples within the genre. These papers should use design terminology from Document Design and other concepts discussed in class.

Each student also will present his/her two works to the class.
