Job Ad Analysis
This is an internship opportunity at the Museum of Contemporary Art in Chicago, IL. There are internship opportunities in the fields of accounting, marketing, and administration. The responsibilities of an intern would include the completion of a specific target project as well as daily assignments. Interns would attend staff lectures, meetings, special events, and educational programs.
I chose this position because of the accounting, marketing, and administration opportunities. Since I am persuing a career in the business field, any of those three internships would provide excellent experience. While I already have accounting experience in hospitality, I am looking to broaden my education in a different setting. I have always been very interested in art and think I would really enjoy contributing to the development of the programs at the museum.
I feel that I would be qualified for this internship for several reasons. One being that I have prior experience with accounting and administration. I have also taken a few accounting courses that have given me a good foundation of accounting basics. I feel that I have good communication skills after having worked a couple of guest service positions. Those positions have also strengthened my problem-solving skills, as I have had to deal with many different types of problems and situations. I am also very professional and punctual and posses great organizational skills.
