Job Ad Analysis

This job is searching for an applicant for entry level sales and marketing positions. In this job, based on the information given by the website, will have responsibilities in the marketing industry to later grow into a business position. It seems that it is an office job that is kept quite small since the company seeks to give their employees more attention, support and training. This leads the employees to give better support and attention to the clients, which is what the company, Rich Marketing Concepts Inc., aims to. I chose to apply to this job because it seems that this company aims towards growth, which is what gets most of my attention. I took a marketing class last semester at Purdue and loved it, even though I have never worked in a marketing environment before. The job states that the applicant has to have a business major, which is what I am majoring in. In the future I would like to become a successful manager, and by reading the website, it seems this company focuses on training managers. The other aspect that attracts me is that this is an office job, which is the environment I like to work in. The fact that the job offers small offices gets my attention even more since, like in a small classroom, you get better feedback and attention from your superiors and peers. You get to learn better and faster. I believe that I am qualified for this position for many reasons. First of all I meet the minimum requirements to apply for the job, and I have had work experience before. Even though my work experience is not in the same area, I am used to work in office environments as well as with people. There are other requirements such as excellent verbal communication skills (even though english is my second language, I speak it perfectly since I went to an american school in Peru; my writing does not reflect my verbal skills), business development skills, and especially a positive attitude. I believe I have much more than that, and that I would be a good candidate for the position that is being offered. Like the company, I also look forward to growth, and this would be the source of my motivation.

Your profile overall

Your profile overall provides an excellent array of excellent characteristics as a candidate for this position. Certainly being bilingual gives an added benefit to you in the business world. With your motivation to help the company grow is a great benefit that can help with possible prospective sales internationally. Good luck with your endeavors in this career.

Interesting

This job sounds great, and I think you've got a lot to offer. I agree with the comment about your bilingual skills being an asset - companies are often very excited about language skills. Your time in Peru is also a great example of an experience that should be interesting for companies for several reasons. It demonstrates adaptability, broadened perspective, communication skills, etc, etc, etc. Perhaps that "much more" that you vaguely reference here (and will want to clarify in your application materials). Plus, all things being equal, sometimes companies will call in people for interviews with interesting things on their resume. "Let's get the guy who lived in Peru in here for an interview." I once got a job because I studied in Germany and the owner was German, so you never know how these connections will play out.

Marketing position

I think you'd like to work in marketing as it is very active and important to any company. At my internship this summer at the financial planning company I'm working at I've worked closely with the marketing department almost every day. What I've learned is that if anyone as a question about the business or who they should contact about something they go to the marketing department. They are a very essential part of the company and they really help the company run smoothly. I think it's a really good choice for you since you talk about becoming a manager, I feel working at a marketing company or just a marketing department will help you greatly in the future.
