The job position that I am interested in pursuing after I graduate in May 2008 is a Specialty II Sales Representative for Endo Pharmaceuticals in Naperville, IL. The company specializes in sellling products to pain management specialists, neurologists, oncologists, clinical decision makers and other physicians. In addition to the selling, a representative would go out and educate them on the features and benefits of Endo Products. Sales Representative will also make on call visits to hospitals ensuring Endo products are stocked and dispensed. The position requires the ability to work independently with a high degree of professionalism in projecting a positive image of Endo Pharmaceuticals. Requirements of this position are a bachelor's degree in (preferred major in either business or science), minimum of two years in sales, aptitude in learning technical and scientific product related information, goal-oriented, and strong verbal communication skills. I feel very confident that I meet the qualifications for this job position because not only will I have a bachelors degree, but I will also finish my second year of sales experience by the end of the summer. I am very personable and goal-oriented. With some medical problems that occurred a few years ago, I tried various medications in the market and am very eager to learn about other products that are currently out there. I am very dedicated to my work and interested not only working with the medical field, but also assisting people in need with their health issues.

RE: JOB AD

You might consider working your personal experiences with pharmaceutical treatments into an interview. Usually you wouldn't put that information in a resume or a cover letter, but interviewers frequently ask what made you apply for a certain position, or what drew you to a particular field. You may or may not be comfortable divulging personal information, but certainly it might be a viable tactic to illustrate how your own experiences caused you to become interested in a particular path. Because the application process moves from general to specific, we all need to have good answers for why we are in our respective fields, and what attracts us about a particular organization or position.
