1. What can the writer do to make the resume better tailored to the specific job being applied for?
I believe you have mostly directed your resume at the specific job you are looking for. I think you can adjust your objective slightly by elaborating. When reading your resume I can see an idea of the job you want, but I think you need to really point out what you want to do in your objective. I am also not sure exactly what you want to do for this company and you should tell the company what you can do for them. Other than that I think it sounds great.
2. Is the layout and design pleasing to the eye? Make at least one suggestion for improving it.
I think you have a good layout going. The only think I think I would adjust would be your margins and size. I think you could almost make the font slightly larger, and that would not clutter your resume. Also, I think your left margin is larger than your others. Take a look in page setup on word.
3. Does the resume fit comfortably within the page (as opposed to being squished in or stretched out)? What can the writer do to improve it?
I kind of answered that in question 2.
4. Is it easily readable (no confusing fonts, clearly marked sections)? What improvements can be made?
I think its very straight forward and clear. Again I will refer to question 2 about the margins and the size of the font.
5. Does it use typography (including headers and bold and italics) appropriately and effectively?
Yes, I think the bolded portions draw my eyes to where they need to be. I would maybe take another look at the capitalized bold portions where you explain where you jobs (I have not decided if I like it or not). I think they could be just as effective you they were not capitalized and just slightly indented.
6. Is the most important information located on the left side of the page and near the top whenever possible? Identify at least one part that could be better placed.
I would probably replace the job employers with indents as opposed to having them on the same tab. Other than that I think everything is placed well.
7. Does the content of the resume support the objective (if there is one)? Explain.
Yes, I think you pointed out your strong music background well.
8. Is the resume too short? Where can it elaborate? Job skills? Responsibilities? Education?
I think it is a good size. I think you can elaborate on your work experiences a little more (what kind of music shows did you set up for?).
9. Is material sequenced in order of importance and relevance?
Yes, it follows a good format.
10. Do bulleted items begin with action verbs? Are list items ordered in terms of importance?
Bulleted items began with action verbs, but it seems like there is always room for improvement with this.
Yes, your items are ordered in terms of importance.
11. Does the resume avoid generalities and focus on specific information and professional terminology?
As I said in number 8, I think you could go slightly more specific. But other than that I think you used good terminology.
12. Does the resume pass the Quadrant, Column, Squint, and Distance tests? Explain how the author might make improvements based on your test results.
I believe it passes these tests. The only think I can note is by just a glance it looks to have slightly small text and the margins seem to be off slightly.
13. What other observations can you make about the resume?
I think this was a great resume. The main things I noticed I have covered already.
