There is no "OBJECTIVE" line. During interviews I was given the advice that when applying and interviewing for internships your objective is obvious and therefore become redundant for the reader.
1. What can the writer do to make the resume better tailored to the specific job being applied for?
The only way I believe this could be improved would to be to add an objective statement.
2. Is the layout and design pleasing to the eye? Make at least one suggestion for improving it.
I like the centered name and left aligned section headers. However, I think you could maybe put one space in between jobs and leadership positions.
3. Does the resume fit comfortably within the page (as opposed to being squished in or stretched out)? What can the writer do to improve it?
I believe this resume fits in the page with no problem.
4. Is it easily readable (no confusing fonts, clearly marked sections)? What improvements can be made?
It is easily readable I think the section headers should be either in a different font or bigger. They blend with your non-section headers.
5. Does it use typography (including headers and bold and italics) appropriately and effectively?
I think your name/address heading is excellent. Once again, maybe bold or italic the section headers such as work experience, etc.
6. Is the most important information located on the left side of the page and near the top whenever possible? Identify at least one part that could be better placed.
I'm confused by the highlights section. I think these should go under responsiblities within your position. The greater your work/job experience looks the better. You could use the highlights section to beef up the leadership positions section.
7. Does the content of the resume support the objective (if there is one)? Explain.
There is no objective.
8. Is the resume too short? Where can it elaborate? Job skills? Responsibilities? Education?
As I said before, I would change the highlights section. Otherwise, there is a good balance.
9. Is material sequenced in order of importance and relevance?
Yes, more recent positions are listed first.
10. Do bulleted items begin with action verbs? Are list items ordered in terms of importance?
Absolutely. I think this is one of your strong points.
11. Does the resume avoid generalities and focus on specific information and professional terminology?
Yes the professional terminology is good. However, if you could use numbers at all such as "sales of $15,00" or "managed a budget of $30,00" it would help put your responsiblities in perspective for whoever is reviewing the resume.
12. Does the resume pass the Quadrant, Column, Squint, and Distance tests? Explain how the author might make improvements based on your test results.
Yes, it does.
13. What other observations can you make about the resume?
I think you have some great content. The one thing that sticks out the most to me is that there could be more white space between jobs.
