1. What can the writer do

1. What can the writer do to make the resume better tailored to the specific job being applied for? In order to make your resume more tailored, I suggest fixing the alignment of your information. You have an excellent background, but your resume does not reflect your professional history.
2. Is the layout and design pleasing to the eye? To improve your resume, have your experiences highlighted on the left and dates on right. You information is awesome, it just looks clustered to the left side and is uninviting. Have your information easily distributed throughout the entire page.
3. Does the resume fit comfortably within the page (as opposed to being squished in or stretched out)? What can the writer do to improve it? The resume fits comfortably on the page, but lacks alignment and order of importance.
4. Is it easily readable (no confusing fonts, clearly marked sections)? What improvements can be made? Some improvements that can be made are to possibly incorporate your skills within your work experiences. Your skills should be marked under the job experience.
5. Does it use typography (including headers and bold and italics) appropriately and effectively? Each section is properly highlighted, however, another suggestion would be to bold each job title experience within your job history section. This not only allows the employer to pick out certain experiences easier, but also makes your experiences stand out better.
6. Is the most important information located on the left side of the page and near the top whenever possible? Identify at least one part that could be better placed. Yes. Like previously stated, not everything needs to be aligned on the left side. Indentations for skills, experiences, etc. should be presented within each section.
7. Does the content of the resume support the objective (if there is one)? Explain. Yes, sounds you are more than qualified for the position.
8. Is the resume too short? Where can it elaborate? Job skills? Responsibilities? Education? All your information looks great. If there was an area that can be elaborated, I would suggest within the job experiences. Maybe mention responsibilities/duties for the job positions.
9. Is material sequenced in order of importance and relevance?
10. Do bulleted items begin with action verbs? Are list items ordered in terms of importance? More bulleted items could be presented within the job history section. In terms of importance, experiences are in order. More action verbs are needed.
11. Does the resume avoid generalities and focus on specific information and professional terminology? Yes
12. Does the resume pass the Quadrant, Column, Squint, and Distance tests? Explain how the author might make improvements based on your test results. As far as the column test, proper alignment of titles and dates needs to be adjusted.
13. What other observations can you make about the resume? Overall, you have great information. On paper it could look better with proper alignment, bolding of job experiences, and more detail of job responsibilities (bulleted) to reflect your intelligence and impressive background.
