Form and Style
1. Does the letter include all the necessary components (return address, header, salutation, introductory paragraph, body paragraph(s), and conclusion)? If not, what’s missing?
-yes this cover letter contains all of the above
2. Does the writer use block format (all text flush with the left margin)?
-For the most part yes, but there are some things on the right that maybe could be in a better place
3.Does the style of the letter suit the occasion? Is it too informal? Too formal or generic? Explain.
-The letter suits the occasion and is very formal...the author of the letter uses very formal vocab to explain her abilities
4. Does the writer take the right tone? (E.g., come off as enthusiastic without gushing? highly qualified without bragging?) Explain.
-At some points during the letter, the tone is too much but for the most part the tone is just right
5. Are there any spelling or mechanical errors? If so, identify them, either by listing them here or by circling them on a printed draft.
-No spelling or mechanical errors

1. Does the letter speak directly and specifically to the job ad, using keywords to organize the discussion of his or her qualifications? Even if it does, what could be done better?
-yes the letter is directed towards the job ad and uses keywords to help better the sound
2. Does the writer mention specific reasons why he or she has applied for the position? Explain.
-yes, because she explains her daily activities at the hospital she currently works for
3. Does the writer identify specific skills, using terminology that other experienced people would recognize?
-The skills are well identified using the correct terminology
4. Does the introductory paragraph identify the position applied for, its source, and then the major reason(s) why the writer is well-suited?
-Yes
5. Does the conclusion say how the writer can be contacted for further discussion or an interview? Does the letter end on a high note? Explain.
-the contact information is all available
6. What is the most important revision the writer should make? Explain.
-Just to make sure that all information at the top is left aligned, other than that the letter is very well written!

Considering you are applying for a position at such a nice busniess it fits the style of the business very well!

Does the writer take the right tone? (E.g., come off as enthusiastic without gushing? highly qualified without bragging?) Explain. YES, seemed as though you wanted the job very much and had the experience to do it

Does the letter speak directly and specifically to the job ad, using keywords to organize the discussion of his or her qualifications? Even if it does, what could be done better? Sometimes it was hard to tell whether you were talking someone specific or just to someone who might pick it up.

Does the writer mention specific reasons why he or she has applied for the position? Explain. Yes, they mentioned what they have been doing for the past "seven" years that qualifies them for this job.

Does the writer identify specific skills, using terminology that other experienced people would recognize? YES, in previous jobs held.

Does the introductory paragraph identify the position applied for, its source, and then the major reason(s) why the writer is well-suited? YES

Does the conclusion say how the writer can be contacted for further discussion or an interview? Does the letter end on a high note? Explain. Yes, it gives me the information for contacting you either through phone or email and is very easy to find

What is the most important revision the writer should make? Explain. I guess you might want to fallow the format in the book when it comes to giving your information at the top of the page. (pg. 225)
