Very good press release. I think you did a great job at staying very professional and getting the information across effectively. I have a couple suggestions for you. First, I think a title in bold is very effective and briefly explains what this press release is about. I would add this right below your contact information. Also, another cosmetic detail, I would add the symbols ### at the end of your press release. I saw this in many examples, and many tips show this is a common notation to show the end of a press release. I also think enlarging your jetBlue picture will make it look at little better (this one is solely my opinion). As far as content goes I think you do a very good job of what needs to be said. There were a couple incidents where it seemed like a fragment, so I would just read through it again and make sure you are saying exactly what you mean. Other than that, great job!
Your press release is very good. You make good points, and you have a very sincere apology. The apology was a very sincere and very well written. You kept your press release short and to the point but you still made a great apology. You let the audience know that you would work to improve many of the areas you were prior slacking on. You also let the audience know that you implement plans in certain situations like the weather. One suggestion I would make is to maybe wait for the apology and put it in the second or third paragraph, and to also let the audience know a little bit about your company and what you provide even though it is a quite obvious. You did a very good job and the suggestions are just minor suggestions. Good job!
First of all, I think the overall format looks very professional and easy to read. Starting with an apology is a good way to grab reader’s attention letting them know that you are addressing the situation in a sincere manner. Your intro did a good job discussing what the issue was and the second paragraph described how you planned to take care of it. Your concluding paragraph did a good job sounding apologetic and actually meaning it. It is important in situations like these to make sure that when you write apologies that your customers truly believe you. Good Job!
I liked your press release very much. It was very concise and if I apply the “ten tips to ensure your press release makes news” article I would say that you applied very good tip number six which pointed out that you should deal with facts. You based your press release on many of facts describing exactly what happened. The only thing I would recommend is to improve on how you relate them to the press release. Although you did apologize and accepted your mistakes as an airline that should have provided a better service, reminding costumers that the company is aware of how important they are would be the best tool to make them part of it.
