Reading Response Week #5

In reading Feuds in Student Groups, I learned that at worst, groups waste time insidiously, accomplish little work, and creat an arena in which interpersonal conflict can rage. A trio of structural aspects set the stage for feuds in groups: interdependence, rewards systems, and the mix of educational backgrounds and demographic characteristics among students.

In The Thomson Handbook Chapter 25, Desktop Publishing and Graphic Design for Writers, I learned the basic principles of graphic design. I thought the brochures used typography effectively.

I hope that we can work well together as a group. I think all of us probably feel that we are better off on our own because of the nature of this project. Being an online class makes it difficult to get things done. However, I hope we can work around this to make the best of this situation. Also, the reward of receiving an “A” is something that all of us should understand and want to work hard for. It may not be easy, but it is something we can all do if we put in the work and make good efforts.

Do you have any specific ideas you would like to make to add to the brochure? I noticed you did not post a sample brochure. Maybe if you find one, the whole group can take ideas from it.
