I scored our brochure the exact same way that you did which is good because I think this shows that we are on the same page. I like how you reviewed both of our brochures, I didn't think about this and I only reviewed the one that we worked on. However I think my comments could also go for the general brochure as well. I marked minus for the same categories as you. It doesn't really make our brochures worse however because both of those categories don't really hurt our brochures. These categories would be more important if we were trying to sell a product or if we were showing off our company. I think your ratings are very good and I agree with your points.

I agree with your analysis of the two brochures we made. Appealing to the emotions and being personal were greatly enhanced as we are working for a humane society. Just with the name alone you know you can appeal to readers because it makes them think of cute pets that they could possibly adopt. Both look ed very professional. I think this was our strongest attribute. The readability was easy and it was spoken in plain english with no technical jargon. This made it even better because it could be read by all ages. The benefits and the focus on a product or service didnt really apply to our brochures as it is more informational than it is trying to sell something. The single message of Because We Care made our single message easy. These were both great brochures that I know we did well creating.

Appealing to peoples emotions was the reason why I chose pictures of little dogs and cats. I think this would be the way to attract prospects because their innocence is what draws their attention. As far as the “focus on a service” section, I do not think the humane society would be who they are if they did. We had the same overall points about each section from having a professional look to containing language that can be easily read by anyone. It is important to keep the content in a professional manner but not formal. This way it is easy to get the main points of the brochure across to the audience.
