Our brochure is filled with pictures of cute cats and dogs that would make any one want to help them out. The general brochure also does because the front cover picture is a cute dog that just makes you smile when you see it.

We didn't use any clip art or graphics, only real pictures of real animals. This is a lot more professional that some cartoon pets and clip art. Real pictures helps the reader relate to the real pet they can help out and adopt.

I agree with how you scored the Caring for the Pet brochure you designed. The emotional appeal and professionalism of the brochure is very apparent. Using real pictures and pictures of the cute pets makes this a very easy task. Being personal was easy with this brochure as you tell the reader how to actually care for their pet which is like a face to face talk specifically about their new pet. The readability of this brochure was great as it flowed well and was written without technical jargon that the reader wouldnt understand. I like how you showed a negative for the product and service focus and benefits section. It is hard to show them the benefits of cleaning their pet or the benefits of the humane society besides that it is a place to adopt a pet. The call to action is correct as you want the reader to really love their new pet. I think you did a good job analyzing this brochure.

Even though we worked on two brochures, we both had similar viewpoints of what we thought about the crash test. For example, you said you did not use clip art because it would not have had that much of an impact on the reader versus a real picture. I agree with this statement because it does lower the overall effect and may not be taken as serious. Achieving readability is one of the more important sections of the brochure. The headings of each section gave the reader a preview of what to expect which is vital in getting your point across to them. I think you did a good job in doing so and agree with what you say.

I received the same scores as you did, which is a good thing considering we worked on the same brochure. Both of areas you had minuses, I had minuses also. I think so far our brochure has turned out pretty good. I love the graphics and the way the brochure is laid out. I am hoping this week, we can make it even better with new revisions. The points you made while taking the test were different from those that I made, which helped me to think about new ways to imporove the brochure. I am excited to work on our revisions this week to make our brochure perfect!
