Project 3: 1-page Proposals

Look over what you posted to the Project 3: Project Ideas blog and the possible project examples on the Project 3 assignment page. Then write approximately 1 page that explains what you would like to do for your project and why you think your idea works in the context of the assignment. Project 2: Design Plan Analysis

Each group's task is to respond to this blog post with a design plan that fits an existing website. To do this, follow these steps:

  1. In your group, find a website that you use frequently or that you think works well.
  2. A design plan includes a statement of purpose. To create one, analyze the sense of purpose, audience, and context of the site (information about statements of purpose is on pages 40 and 41 in Compose, Design, Advocate excerpt 2).
  3. After forming a statement of purpose about the site you are analyzing, finish the design plan by examining the medium, strategies, and arrangement of the site (more information about design plans is on pages 52-54 of Compose, Design, Advocate excerpt 2).

Feud response

  1. Think of your previous group work experiences, both inside and outside of school. Can you think of any times when you might have taken on one or more of these roles? If not, are there any that you might be predisposed toward? What can you do to make sure you don't take on a disruptive role with your group?

  2. The five listed roles don't cover everything.
    1. Name and define a different disruptive role.
    2. Name and define a positive group member role.
