Week 16

noles32 — Fri, 12/12/2008 - 21:26

In the final week of working on this project the frontend coder team were dazed and confused most of the time. It’s been a very interesting week to say the least about the events that occurred.

Week 16

Pat — Fri, 12/12/2008 - 19:35

It has been another week and the design team has a little more work to show for it.

On Monday we came up with our documentation for the Documents and Testing team so that they could make a full document for the client on what colors and photos we used. We also completed our team contribution document. After we completed the team contribution document there was not much time left so we talked about if we were going to take a picture of our hands, we decided to go for it.

Design: Week 16

Cookz — Fri, 12/12/2008 - 16:13

This was a fairly busy week for design. We got a lot done in the way of finishing the website by Friday and I think we did a pretty good job on getting it all done on time. On Monday I fixed the image links on the bottom of the website. These had previously been misaligned as well as using inconsistent grammar and tenses with the rest of the website. In addition to fixing the images along the bottom of the website I created a 16px x 16px icon that goes in the address bar next to the web address. I created a butterfly for this as that is what the clients symbol is.

Week 16 Design

cechambe — Fri, 12/12/2008 - 15:55

The last week has certainly been slow for the design team as we have had the most critical parts of our job complete. Although the website was meant to functional and working for testing Monday there were still minor things the other teams needed to complete before then. Over the weekend I had completed editing, cropping, and retouching another four banner images for the website. So when Monday came around our group went over the banner images that we had cropped and made final decisions on which to use.

week 16

PyroJing — Fri, 12/12/2008 - 14:34

We started off the week trying to get everything set into the skeletons we had, by making all the navigation links, filling the content, and creating a tree chart for the centers. The tree chart turned out to be a failure as when a new page was loaded the tree would be reset to closed. We thought we could overcome this by the back end implementing a single page layout, but it still reloads the page and would cause the tree chart to fail. We gave the back-end all the content.

Week 16 Blog

LazerJ1 — Fri, 12/12/2008 - 12:17

Week 16 Blog: The manage directory page has been fully implemented into the current website design. As it stands right now this will allow users to see the directory of the documents folder as new documents are uploaded to the server. This should fit in nicely with the other back-end features in the website. Not much progress was made on creating a download functionality to the manage documents link. This was due to other courses having similar final project deadlines this week.

Alex Lewis Week 16

NEWMAN — Fri, 12/12/2008 - 11:43

This week proved to be crunch time for the documents and testing team. While the deadline for a working website was Monday it still was not ready for testing then. As a result we ended up waiting until Wednesday to be able to send out our testing forms. On Monday then the group discussed how we would go about constructing the change document. This was done by creating a simple outline of the document and pulling some screen captures from the website. I worked on the project again on Wednesday morning. On Wednesday morning I sent out my forms to the testing audience.

Week 16

islington — Fri, 12/12/2008 - 11:17

This week was the final week to get the work done. Monday I was unfortunately sick and decided to miss one class. This proved to be slightly foolish as a lot happened that day. But regardless, I can mostly just talk about Wednesday for working.

Neely Misner Week 16

boiler16 — Thu, 12/11/2008 - 11:19

This week was very busy for our team. The front end and back end teams finally had a running website so we could begin on the change document and testing. We were still waiting on Monday, but in class we discussed testing plans and the outline of the change document. We came up with a layout and started editing images for the change document. On Tuesday, I made a list of everything that I needed to do to contribute to this project in the final week. Wednesday morning, I sent out an e-mail to my list of testers with the link to the website and a link to the survey that I had created.

Week 15: Design

Cookz — Mon, 12/08/2008 - 10:29

This was a pretty slow week as far as the design team goes. We are still sitting on front end to give us information on what they need as far as the graphics go. We did work on the banners quite a bit this week getting together maybe 3 different banners for the website from the photographs that the client gave us. This week I noticed that our three image links at the bottom were not consistent with each other as far as text location and style so I took it upon myself to fix those and make them more consistent.
