Thus far, I have outlined what the problem is that we propose to argue, that being a lack of collaboration in the small business work environment. My later research shows precisely why such a problem exists in modern business and how severe it could potentially be. The final portion of my preliminary research concerns the resolution, that is, how companies can salvage work habits to increase and improve collaborative efforts.

The most obvious and likely most beneficial resource that I’ve referenced concerning how to improve collaboration can be found at Collaborate.com. According to Collaborative Strategies, “this website is run by a staff of highly experienced professionals who understand the technology, process and people aspects of collaboration.” This website provides very applicable, up-to-date, and accurate information regarding all forms of collaboration and collaborative technologies. Beyond this, Collaborate.com offers a “Publications” section that serves as an archive for all of the articles, white papers, document meetings, and the like, which will prove very useful in the near future.

I am confident that this reference is thoroughly credible for a number of reasons. First, and foremost, Collaborative Strategies is a highly reputable industry analyst and consulting firm with a long history in market research and publishing in the same field. According to Collaborative Strategies, “Based on our 15 years of expertise, we also offer a comprehensive suite of advisory services to end-user companies interested in successfully implementing collaborative solutions.” This directly relates to the topic at hand, that is, implementing, increasing, and improving collaborative efforts in small business. Furthermore, as I’ve mentioned earlier, Collaborative Strategies also has a staff of highly experienced professionals that understand all aspects of collaboration. For all of these reasons, and many more, I am confident that Collaborate.com will prove to be a very beneficial resource that we will reference frequently in composing our white paper.
