English 421Y: Technical Writing Online

For this assignment my research is going to be over the hardware and specifications of the iPhone, Blackberry Storm, and the G1. In my first research blog I am going to be going over the specs for the iPhone by Apple. I got all of my information from Apple themselves at the website http://www.apple.com/iphone/specs.html.

This website basically consists of all the different hardware and specifications for the new iPhone 3G. After reading this article I believe that I have a good idea of how I am going to make my portion of the white paper. This website gives all of the different information about the phone itself, including the phone’s actual size and weight, colors, the size of the touch screen, etc. I will most likely try to use some of the pictures of the phone on this website and go through all of its physical features and specifications from them.

This website is also a good source for many of the other important items this phone has, including memory capacity, audio and video details, PC or Mac system requirements, picture and video details, cellular and wireless connections, and information on some of the different input or output connections. This information will most likely be used in a bulleted list or several different short sentences with a dash in front of them to show the reader that this information is important and could greatly influence what kind of smart phone they plan to buy.

All of the information from this site will prove to be extremely useful when we make our white paper because it goes over all of the important features and specifications of this phone and its hardware.
