Research Blog 2: Blackberry Storm

My second research blog is going to be over the Blackberry Storm’s hardware and specifications. I got all of my information for this part of my research from the Blackberry website itself at http://www.blackberry.com/blackberrystorm/specifications.shtml. This website was a lot like the website in my previous blog, but I will go through the details anyways.

This website overall gave a very good description of the many reasons why the Blackberry Storm is such a strong competitor for the iPhone and the G1. This website also went through all of the different physical specifications of the phone. Some of the most important ones would be the phone’s size and weight, touch screen display size, display resolution, and some of the features that the phone itself offers. This website also has very good pictures of the phone itself that will be used in part with the physical descriptions mentioned previously. I will most likely try to describe the phone near its picture so it is obvious to the reader what I am talked about.

This website also goes through a lot of the other important items that the Storm has. Some of them include information on the camera and video recorder, battery and battery life, GPS and Blackberry Maps, media player, Bluetooth, memory, etc. This information is going to be very important for the reader, because it is these items are the ones that separate all of the different phones from each other. None of these phones are going to have the exact same hardware or features as each other, and these few points will most likely be the ones that the reader uses to choose their appropriate phone. This information will most likely be in a bulleted format.

Just like my last research blog, this information will also prove to be extremely helpful when making the white paper.
