English 421Y: Technical Writing Online

This individual report consists of information that accrued during week 14 of our white paper project. At the start of the week I developed ideas to use for the creation of our white paper design. After designing a few ideas I implemented them in Adobe Illustrator to present my design. I began to review/critiqued my other group member’s concept designs to collect information to start putting together a final white paper layout design.

The entire week was mainly focus on just research, research and more research. My role in our new white paper subject was finding information on the internet browser Mozilla Firefox. In helping the customer make an informed decision on which browser to use for their small IT Company (our audience), it was important to find the advantages and disadvantage of Firefox to present. I spent several hours trying to locate the perfect documents to use for my research blogs. Gathering the advantages of using Firefox was rather easy. I encounter a lot of problems however trying to find solid disadvantages with using Firefox. In addition it was crucial to focus the research on features of Firebox that could be beneficial for our audience. Overall, I was able to find some really strong data analysis on Firefox.
