English 421Y: Technical Writing Online

This past week was very productive, both in terms of group progress and my individual progress. At the end of last week, our group was challenged with focusing the definition of our target audience to something more specific. Through some research and discussion, we decided the target audience of our white paper would be the American Secretary of Energy, Stephen Chu.

On an individual basis, this week began on a down note. We had scheduled an online meeting for 6PM on Monday evening. I was driving back to campus at this time and held back by the weather, so I missed the meeting. I got in touch with Adam P. early Tuesday morning to get filled in on any important discussion points from the meeting. Considering that this week was mostly dedicated to individual work, nothing important was missed from the online chat. The rest of the week was spent researching and working on thumbnail designs. I spent a lot of time on my thumbnail, and got some good feedback from my group. It appears at this point my design will be used as the starting point for our final design. I also left feedback for each of my teammates designs. Our final design will likely be a hybrid of the best aspects of each of our designs.
I also completed the group activity report for this week.
