English 421Y: Technical Writing Online

This previous week was a tough week as a group. I attempted to get a group meeting scheduled, but none of us were able to meet up at the same time. All of our discussion occurred through email and in our Google Group.

For the first part of the week, I worked on a sample thumbnail for our white project. I did not spend as much time on this as I was hoping to due to my work schedule. As a group, however, I am confident that we will be able to create a good white paper format. The rest of the week was spent researching. I started my research by looking up SharePoint’s main competition. I found three other platforms that provide similar features to SharePoint. Next, I began actual research on each of the platforms. I looked through all of their features and made some notes/comments on which ones would be beneficial to each of the audiences. I included my research as well as some comments about the users in my three research blogs for Friday. After I had completed my research blogs, I looked at my teammates thumbnails and commented on them.
