This report summarized the progress made since April 20, 2009.

I sent an email out to the group early in the week to get a plan and ideas flowing so we could all get to our own individual work faster. After deciding on Nigel’s layout, I asked him to send his thumbnail out to the group so everyone could write their sections and make it easy to compile in the end. I decided I would compile all the parts and submit them this week. I spent the following few days writing my section on direct exchange heat pumps, a variation of the closed loop system. Having received all the section mid-week, I was able to begin compiling ahead of schedule. The planned copy and past job turned into a nightmare. Every possible problem with Microsoft Word and its fonts, sizes, formatting, page breaks, etc, that could go wrong did. It ended up taking a good part of my day just trying to copy and past everyone’s material in one file. Having finally finished making the rough draft, I wrote a short introduction and sent it out to the group to make sure there were no glaring errors before I submitted it. I read the instructor feedback on our draft and will be sending an email out to get a plan for the final draft.
