Group Activity Report Week 16

During our final week of our white paper project our team decided to give it our all to finish out the semester with a bang. The first thing we did was review the comments Nathaniel suggested to make our white paper shine.

We decided to meet online twice this week to discuss possible changes to our paper. After much discussion the number one thing we needed to fix was to balance our sections. We noticed we did not have as much communication in our rough draft process as we once thought. The key to writing any paper as a group is to have one voice. When a paper has more than one voice the reader will notice that and focus more on the different writing styles rather than the message. We fixed this by focusing on the benefits to each solution and having uniform paragraphs instead of a bunch of different ones.

Another section that needed work was the bibliography. While we had some sources we were not sure if we needed to add one or cite the information in our sections. In the end we decided to add the bibliography at the end and cite the sources in our paper. By doing this we felt that the reader would gain a better understanding from where the information came from.

The other section that needed attention would be the executive summery. This section acted as an opener for the entire white paper. Without this our readers would be lost and we could not have that. We shorted it up and made it stand out so the reader would know what they are getting themselves into. The final part of our white paper that needed work was the language. Looking back we noticed some things that needed to be changed so that we did not offend our readers. Also there were some grammar errors that needed to be fixed. By changing all of this we had created a white paper we are proud of. We hope to put our skills to the test in the real world one day.
