English 421Y: Technical Writing Online

The last of week of working on the white paper project was little stressful. I was in charge of all the graphical formatting and structure for the white paper. After gathering all the final revised sections I place them into Adobe Illustrator accordingly. I had a hard time formatting the information at times to make sure everything would fit, in addition to making it appealing and effective. The biggest problem I encountered was the size of each .pdf file. Since our white paper was more emphasis on graphics it made the file larger which caused minor problems. When emailing or uploading the files it took an extremely long time to process(lots of down time). I then decided to compress the .pdf and take away the preserved vector points to make the file smaller to fix this problem. However, even when compress the files seemed to take awhile to upload/email when I had to get it reviewed.

Overall, I think our white project turned out really well. It was easy to do since I had a great group of people who invested a lot of their time into this project. We were able to communicate often, collaborated great together on particular problems and work hard to produce the outcome of the project.
