This activity report summarizes the progress that I have made this week in regard to the white paper project.
This week was, without doubt, the most progressive and stressful. Although we had a sound starting point with the rough draft we’d submitted, there was much work to be done. The instructor’s feedback proved to be the most beneficial revision resource for my group. Each of the members in my team was responsible for making the changes outlined in the instructor’s feedback, as well as those we covered in our individual meetings. For me, this meant revising the introduction to better suit the criterion presented in said feedback.
Beyond the introduction, I was also responsible for authoring the executive summary. The initial introduction I had written had been lengthy and included portions that would more appropriately reside in the executive summary. To account for this, I extracted those pieces, restructured and reworded into a more suiting executive summary format, then rewrote the introduction, which I feel is more concise and readable.
Finally, as I had done the original piecing together in the previous week, I elected to do the same with the final draft. This task had gone considerably smoother than was the case with the rough draft. Each of my team member’s content was significantly more clear, concise, and consistent, as we had drafted a template that was followed more strictly.
Overall, this project went smoothly and I could not have chosen a better group of peers to work with. I am confident that the quality of our final white paper demonstrates our ability to collaborate as a team working toward a common goal.
