Week 16 Individual Report

This week was spent revising our group’s rough draft. From the feedback received, it was apparent that we needed to include an executive summary. I’ve used these several times in engineering reports, so I volunteered to write one for the group.

Throughout the rest of the week I read and re-read each of the drafts that were sent out. Once I realized that the D-Link router had draft-n capabilities, I notified Kristin that the introduction and specification tables needed to be updated accordingly. I also revised the executive summary to reflect the changes.

After changing numerous things, each of us made sure that the footnote citations from our sections still lined up with the correct sources. There were three or four from my section that had to be updated, so I sent a note to Kristin describing the inconsistencies.

Once everything was fixed (or so I thought), I read the paper one last time. All of the text seemed to align correctly, so I decided to take a look at the figure and table numbers to make sure that they were in consecutive order. A few of them had gotten out of order, but were then fixed. Then I gave the group my approval of the final draft and started working on the Collaborative Project Evaluation Form.
