English 421Y: Technical Writing Online

My first assignment on this project was the potential sources aspect of the proposal. I wasn’t quite sure what needed to be done for this so I basically just looked up some sources that looked good in terms of research. I know there are many different sources on this subject which is wind turbines for domestic applications. It is one of those subjects that is gaining popularity so there are many different places where you can research and or buy these products. I started looking around using google and found a plethora of sites that involved these turbines. I found out that there are also many different styles of wind turbines used for home applications. There are vertical axis styles as well as regular wind mill type turbines. These turbines can have outputs ranging from .5kW all the way up to 10kW. In order to do my part in the proposal assignment I did some research on sources for this particular subject and did a brief summary of the different kinds of turbines and where to find them. Like I said there is a plethora of sites on this subject so what we need to do to find our research is look up different sites and use their information based on the credibility of the site. Since there are so many sites we will have to “weed” out the less credible ones and use the ones we feel have the most solid information.
