During the first week of the White Paper Project, I took the responsibility to initiate productivity. By sending out an email and compiling a list serve of my group, I was able to get thoughts exchanged between members. Having past teamwork experience, it was important to me to see that we got start early and offer a few ideas I already had. I began the first email on Wednesday, April 1st, to organize our team’s responsibilities and get everyone on the same page. I explained what we needed to get done and asked everyone’s opinions before we got started.
After going back and forth on project ideas, I suggested we chose an alternative energy resource applied to homes. Once everyone agreed on the subject, the next task I initiated was evenly divided the work load between the members. I asked everyone to send me what they would like to do based on a first come, first serve basis. By the evening of Wednesday, April 1st, everyone was working on their individual part. I was responsible for completing the design portion of the proposal. I asked that my group completes their part and send it to me where I would collect and assemble for submission.
The following day, everyone had the opportunity to review the final draft of the project proposal and suggest anything in addition. There were a couple of minor changes, and the project deliverable was completed.
