English 421Y: Technical Writing Online

This activity report summarizes the progress that I have made this week in regard to the white paper project.

The majority of the time that I haven’t spent working on this week’s work was dedicated to drafting deliverables. First, the Gantt chart was really a team effort. Jeff had compiled a rough draft and with input from all of us, I compiled the final draft. This chart outlines, with approximate deadlines, the preparation and progression schedule that we anticipate for this white paper project.

Beyond the Gantt chart, I’ve also written the group activity report for my team this week. This report summarizes the progress we’ve made this week as well as the work and research we anticipate for the upcoming milestone.

Aside from this task, I have also spent much time collaborating with my team members in an effort to alter and refine our topic and target audience to yield the most effective and useful white paper. This primarily concerned reviewing the instructor’s feedback and making changes accordingly. To focus our topic more, we’ve elected to target only small, startup organizations instead of companies of all sizes.

Finally, my group and I have divided up the research that will need to be completed for the next milestone. I am responsible for covering precisely what the problem is, why it is a problem, and introduce our argument for resolution.
