Once again, there was not editing to be done on the final project, so I didn't have much to do for that role. I continued to focus instead on trying to organize a plan for our content.
Last Sunday, I created a content outline for our initial topic, energy saving solutions, and posted it on Google Docs. The outline was the primary tool for deciding a direction for and delegating our research in our meeting last Sunday. I also initiated a "contacts" document for our group last weekend.
Early in the week, when we decided to go in a different direction with our project based on the feedback we received on our proposal, the content outline was scrapped and we discussed research strategies for our new topic, web browsers. Later in the week, I revised the content outline for our new topic, based on the research strategies we discussed in our meeting.
I also started some initial research on our general topic late in the week. I found information on some of the IT profession's current concerns and on current trends in browser security, which I discussed in my first research blog. This information should provide us with some keywords for our research and help us create criteria on which to compare browsers.
In the coming week, I expect to get a majority of the research done for my assigned browser, Internet Explorer. I also want to try to incorporate everyone's research into a detailed content outline that we can use to start writing.
