This week our group’s main priority was to change our proposal according to instructor feedback, establish research goals and begin working on our thumbnail deliverables. Given the vague audience we suggested, it was understand that our group needed to be more focused. In a number of replies, the group collectively decided the audience type (contractors) and the method our white paper will choose to relay its information.
Earlier in the week, we brainstormed the best way to divide the topic evenly for research. I proposed we separated our subject, on domestic energy alternatives, as the following: problem, solution, technical data, and performance. Once everyone agreed that this is the best way to divide the work load for research, we began choosing our parts. I am responsible for the solution part of the research. My method of research is to look at different possible wind turbine alternatives offered for home use. By researching different distributors, I was able to look for availability in certain areas and some costs.
In addition to the start of my research, I began working on the thumbnail deliverable. Looking over the given white paper examples from the course website, I was able to get an idea of the layout. I prepared the thumbnail with a very clean and organized presentation. I want to offer plenty of graphical information, photos, and bullet points for better understanding.
