English 421Y: Technical Writing Online

This weeks activities included improving our proposal, creating a Gantt chart and beginning research on SharePoint and its competitors. After receiving feedback about our proposal we have decided to focus our main audience to smaller fresh companies. During the next week I will begin researching our main audience to learn what they need to know about SharePoint.

For this week, the Gantt chart was prepared by Jeff. I was able to look over his chart, but was unable to provide any feedback since I was at work until 10 PM. Once I got home, I talked to Justin about the provided Gantt chart and we decided to make a few changes to it. After he updated the chart, I took a look at it one more time before it was submitted.

I have spent some time throughout the week trying to familiarize myself with SharePoint and other similar platforms. For me to properly aid in writing this white paper, I have to know what the software is capable of. I must figure out how each of the audiences can and will use it to its full potential. I will continue to prepare myself for the actual white paper research that will begin next week.
