I believe the JetBlue Crisis was handled in the correct manner, but not effectively. With not having experienced a disaster before, JetBlue did not respond quickly nor did they communicate well with their passengers. In an ethical manner, I believe that JetBlue stood by their moral conviction to make reparations to their paying customers. The monetary reimbursement for this unfortunate incident as well as new customer bill of rights was initiated will not be placed into action.
The article I chose is from the Star Ledger titled "Jet Blue Communication Crisis". The author, Steve Adubato, states that "Jet Blue has a reputation of excellent customer service. They’ve gone out of their way to treat customers with courtesy and consideration." He says communication has been Jet Blue's key success in the past. Unfortunately, the tables turned when the massive snowstorm hit JFK airport. According to the article, it claims that the passengers stranded on the plane were running out of food and updates from the cockpit were rare and inconsistent.
The five resumes that stood out amongst the rest were numbers 6, 8, 10, 20, and 26. Visually the had the correct amount of highlighting/italicizing, which was very eye appealing and easy to identify certain parts. These resumes had great alignment, nice spacing between each section, and focused their objective towards their prospective job position. Some other reasons for choosing these resumes were because of the conciseness, good indentations to make certain parts stand out, and honors/activities that show that they are well-rounded individuals.
Feel free to leave me some suggestions for my resume. Much appreciated.
I agree with E. Ralph Biggadike, in The Stinging Office Memo, that email nowadays is overused. It is very hard to communicate and "promote a dialogue" between other people. I believe it is very hard to tell what kind of emotion is being used and is also impersonal. The perception of the email can be misinterpreted by the reader when the selection of words were not thoughtfully designed. For some people they use the use of email as a scapegoat to avoid contact with others and situations. Some of the benefits of email is that it is very cheap, convenient, and extremely fast in networking.
