I found that after reading the articles assigned this week that I have been able to establish a good understanding of the JetBlue crisis. I feel that they responded well to there customers by creating the Customers Bill of Rights. However, I believe that they did not handle the situation very well internally. After comparing articles at the time of the crisis with present articles I have am a bit appalled at their course of action.

Attached is my final project. The file includes my Job Ad, a discussion of my Job Ad, my application letter, my resume, and an assessment of the project.

The article I found was published a couple hours ago on the CNN website. It talks about the result of the JetBlue crisis in February on JetBlue Airways founder and Chairman David Neeleman. In addition, the article discusses how the company has reorganized and responded to the February disaster. Since the February incident David Neeleman is no longer CEO and Chairman of JetBlue. Although it was originally presented as a mutual agreement between Neeleman and the board of directors, this was not the case at all. Neeleman was basically forced out of a position he still wished he could have.

The resumes that I chose were 5, 18, 22, 26, and 33. While scanning through these resumes I looked at a number of things. I mostly scanned the headings for information, the format, job location, the type of job experience, and if the jobs related to each other and the objective. I immediately dismissed any resume that stretched the margins almost to the edge of the page or was cluttered with too much information. I found these to be overwhelming and I didn’t want to waste my time reading everything on the page, and it was difficult to find the important information.

From reading the “Boss’s Angry Email Sends Shares Plumeting” article I realized that communication plays a huge role in the success of a company. Not only is it important to be able to communicate effectively with your clients and customers, its more important to have a great communication network with your employees. The employees ultimately drive the company and if you can’t convey your message to them in an appropriate manner, you might see simlar results as displayed in this article.

1. Currently I am a theater technician at the Hall of Music Productions in West Lafayette, Indiana where I set-up and strike campus events, and ensure proper break-down and packing of equipment for transport. I was a stage hand from December 2001 to August 2005 for Loud Entertainment in Vacaville, California where I assisted with acquiring DJ contracts and booking concert talent, provided technical assistance for drums, guitar, and sound equipment, and set-up DJ equipment and small sound systems.
